Winemaker Valentine & Charlotte Picant with the help of Derenoncourt Consultants

Background Yves (Valentine and Charlotte's father) bought the house and land in 1986 as a country retreat. He saw potential in the region and the soil, wanting to showcase the new face of Bordeaux. Modern, dynamic, and accessible became the key principles. Gastronomic wines with an eye for sustainability led them to their success.

Soil Clay combined with slate

Altitude 50 to 150 meters above sea level

Vineyards Valentine and Claire's organic vineyards are located in the easternmost part of Bordeaux. The vineyards are sheltered among the forests, where wildlife and nature can thrive undisturbed. The soil consists of clay combined with slate. The vineyards are situated in a 'valley', from 50 to 150 meters above sea level. The vines for this wine are 20 - 25 years old, planted from the year 2000 onwards.

Harvest Manual

Vinification The grapes come from 20-year-old vines. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks. After this, the wine matures in 225-liter barrels, both new and used. The combination of Cabernet Franc and Merlot is not common in Bordeaux (without Cabernet Sauvignon), but it is perfect for the terroir of the estate. The wine can easily continue to age for 10 to 15 years.
