Claire Dufau leads the family business with dedication to traditional winemaking and respect for nature. The vineyards benefit from clay and limestone soils and a moderate climate, ideal for grape varieties such as Tannat, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Manseng. Domaine de Maouries now produces unique and beautiful wines in the Sud-Ouest.
Vineyards Claire's organic vineyards (and HVE) are located around their farm in the rolling landscape of Saint Mont and Madiran. The vineyards have a soil of clay and slate and are located at an altitude of 180 to 220 meters above sea level. The vineyards in Saint Mont are south-facing.
