Winemaker Claire Dufau

Background Domaine de Maouries, located in the Madiran region of Southwest France, comprises 26 hectares of vineyards at an altitude of 180 to 220 meters. Claire Dufau leads the family business with dedication to traditional winemaking and respect for nature. The vineyards benefit from clay and limestone soils and a moderate climate, ideal for grape varieties such as Tannat, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Manseng. Domaine de Maouries now produces unique and beautiful wines in the Sud-Ouest.

Vineyards Claire's organic vineyards (and HVE) are located around their farm in the rolling landscape of Saint Mont and Madiran. The vineyards have a soil of clay and slate and are located at an altitude of 180 to 220 meters above sea level. The vineyards in Saint Mont are south-facing. The vines for this wine were planted in the 1990s.
