Background Casa da Tojeira is a beautiful 17th-century country house, located in the breathtaking Peneda-Gerês National Park. Since the establishment of the house, grapes have been cultivated for the production of delicious wines. Today, Casa da Tojeira focuses on producing exclusive Vinho Verdes, including a delightful oaked white Vinho Verde and enticing red variants. The house also serves as a picturesque event venue and boutique hotel.
Vineyards Conventional vineyards located in the interior of Portugal at an altitude of 250 - 350 meters above sea level. The vineyards are partly on granite soil with sand.
Harvest Manual
Vinification After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and the good grapes are selected. The first fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature. For the second fermentation, the traditional method (as with Champagne) is used. After this, the wine ages for 12 months in stainless steel tanks.
