Claire Dufau leads the family business with dedication to traditional viticulture and respect for nature. The vineyards benefit from clay and limestone soils and a temperate climate, ideal for grape varieties such as Tannat, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Manseng. Domaine de Maouries now produces unique and beautiful wines in the Sud-Ouest.
Vineyards Claire's organic (and HVE certified) vineyards are located around her farm in the rolling landscape of Saint Mont and Madiran. The vineyards have clay and slate soils and are situated at an altitude of 180 to 220 meters above sea level. The vineyards in Saint Mont face south. The vines for this wine were planted in the 1990s.
