Background Casa da Tojeira is a beautiful 17th-century country house, located in the breathtaking Peneda-Gerês National Park. Since the establishment of the house, grapes have been cultivated for the production of delicious wines. Today, Casa da Tojeira focuses on the production of exclusive Vinho Verdes, including a delightful oak-aged white Vinho Verde and enticing red varieties. The house also serves as a picturesque event venue and boutique hotel.
Vineyards Conventional vineyards located inland in Portugal at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level. The vineyards are partly on granite soil with sand.
Vinification After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and the good grapes are selected. The first fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature for 15 to 20 days. The wine is made entirely with its own yeasts.
